Hi umm i got a prob with logining into my comp after an incident with reshacker i made a backup but i cant even log into my comp now any help?

If you insert your Windows CD, you can boot into the recovery console, and then you can restore your backup.

Unfortunatly it broke all i had left was an old win2k pro cd would that help but i want to keep winxp still

You can always try to get your hands on a Knoppix Live-CD, works wonders. http://www.knoppix.org/

I think you can boot into a recovery console from any Windows install disk, but I could be wrong, I've never actually tried it on anything but XP. It can't hurt to try though.

Recovery console wouldt work but installed 2k on my comp as seperate os and was able to get my files most important to me I;ll have to settle for original home xp

Sorry couldn't do more for you, but at least you got your files back. And you can always mod XP back after you reinstall it
