[release] "Today Is" calendar

"Today Is" style calendar.

Displays the date, month, day of week and week number (ISO 8601), as well the day of the year and the remaining days in the year.

After the problems with week of year I've mentionen in this thread I found out that day of year was also not working, so I've writen a new script to include this function and a few more.

Then it was time to do a new config to show of all the new functions and "Today Is" was born.

Three styles are included, hope some of you will find it useful.

UPDATE: The "sky" and "black" configs where pointing to the wrong script. This has been corrected.

I really like them, however, I would prefer the "Is" to have a lower case "i", but that's just me being anal. Great work and I'll be sure to try them out!

Thanks.

The "Today Is" expression is just a string you can change in the configuration, so you can adapt it to you taste, language, whatever...

Thanks for your comments.

I do like it too, but what about the month and the day of week, they can be translated to?

#312552

Sorry avalon, the screenshot may be misleading, the month and day of the week will appear in the language set you computer regional settings (I have mine in Portuguese) so it will appear in your language.

When I install this I get (null) for all the values except for the month and date. Any ideas?

Yeah, sorry. The "sky" and "black" configs where pointing to the wrong meter script. You can either point it to the right one (calendar.vbs) or download the new zip file which has been corrected.

The "maroon" config should work fine though.

Wow, you have no ideal how long I've been waiting for some type of widget that shows the day of the year! At the office I have to number certain documents with the day of the year and I ususally use(d) refer to my (physical) desktop calander which had the days numbered, This is SO much better. Thank you!

Wait...I just realized I'll need something like Avedesk to run this. I'm already running Konfabulator (among many other osx-e type apps) and I really don't want to hog more sys res. How difficult is this to port as a Konfabulator widget?

How about porting it to avescripter?

#336512

When I complete all my widgets I have started and or been asked to do I plan on trying my hand at avescripter.Right now it would strain my brain to try and jump back and forth.
