System Tray Replacement?

ive been tryin to ommit myself from having to use the system tray, but there are a few icons up there that i cant get the same functionality from when i hide it (power properties, getchoo, GAIM).

Im wonderin if anyone out there knows a detatchable clone of the tray, or a replacement that keeps the functionality of the icons, or even a good plugin for a dock program that would show the icons i choose... id love to run windows start-bar independent.

Maybe object desktop does this? Never used it, dont really want to pay for something if its not going to do what i want it to.

The one docklet I know of for ObjectDock (the free version) tends to crash people's computers, and it's butt ugly. Supposedly ObjectDock Plus has a systray built in, but I've never paid for it, so I don't know if it works or not.

itd be great to have a avedesk plugin that would mimic system tray icons and let you put them as small icons somewhere on your desktop, i use the Systats clock in the top right corner of my screen, itd be wicked to have the Gaim system tray icon, getchoo and the Power Properties icons right under it.

i should learn to program, hahaha.

my one friend bought the object desktop, ill probably go experiment on how object dock's sys-tray works... *object dock... yuck... i like RK the best!

im trying the Right Click program, but its weird, everything works great except the system tray plug in, it doesnt show anything on the menu at all, just 2 separators with nothing in between them... maybe its cuz im on a *Cruddy HP at work, maybe this'll work on my shuttle, but im not sure. Anyone else try this and get this problem and if you figured out how to make it show then let me know, haha, if i can get this to work im gonna fork over the 10 bux to corporate stardock.

EDIT: OHHH, my bad. Upon restarting all the system tray adjustments take effect! This rocks, works perfectly, even shows the power properties popup without giving me the whole window. THANKS!

Now all i gotta do is skin this thing to match stefankas longhorn inspirat blue theme...
