Amazing...now everyone should try Opera without ads for once.

Q: would this key be limited to a trial period of perminent?

#312189

Everyoen should download this, give it a try, hell it might replace your firefox or even IE for the 70% of the people here that still use it :P

Can anybody else confirm too?

I've loved Opera and stayed with it eversince I tried version 6. I took the ads for granted since I fell in love with the tabbed browsing and mouse gestures and not to forget: save sessions.

Great auto-save too. Once they switched off the main power in our appartment while I was surfing wih Opera...when I resarted the pc and I opened Opera, it had save my active windows including the e-mail I was writing while the power shut down...amazing IMO, I whish every app (& windows itself) did that.

Opera is highly skinnable. Lot's of skins on their own skins section. Some OS X/safari inspired ones too.

What amazes me is that you can skin it on the fly, not only by downloading, but also when I put a skin in it's /skins directory, while the program is active. No restart, no nothing.

When Firefox became the hype, off course I tried that for a while too, but while it kicks M$ IE6 on every aspect, it didn't give me that same satisfaction as Opera. For instance the skinning (with the .jar files and all) were too much hassle for me.

Enough of the shameless Opera-gloriefying. I obviously love it and I'm glad people now are offered the chance too try it out in it's complete form and I hope they will give it a try.

I've been a fan of Opera for years. Sadly though, I always used pirated keys for it. But, at least I told as many people as possible about it, so, hopefully my karma is not too bad. I'm glad to get a chance to use it legally now though.

Great marketing move by Opera.

Oh, by the way, there's a Mac IE5 native skin for it on Opera's website. It's looks pretty good and fits in well with most Aqua type themes.

#312333

Many thanks for the info.

#312341

thank you much for sharing this info. it has me considering the switch from FF

#312471

first thing i've noticed is that its actually faster and smoother than firefox.

I don't know if i'll stick with it until I see if I can rearrange the ui to my liking.
