yawn...i've had microsoft update running on several pc's at work for over a month now. i don't have it on any of my pc's, though. i don't like the fact that microsoft update takes away the ability to hide unwanted updates. still, it's helpful for noooobs and grandmas.

I didn't know about this, thank you. I find it annoying however that I must use Internet Explorer to download updates manually. Oh well :/.

by the way, @shmengie... I'm neither grandma nor ||oooooB (most definitely not). but I still use Windows Update site to download updates. So honestly, I found your remark rather rude. I agree, that is rather annoying to force-use of IE to use it, which is not so good compared to "Software Update" in OSX.. but it serves the purpose anyway.
