well I found an aqua skin for trillian and I read it is supose to work with trillian pro, but this may be the same skin clotz has on his site which geocities closed down becuase to many people hit his site. here's the link http://www.artuproar.com/index.php?page=mo...eabout&num=4515 if I understand what yall mean by brushed skin then no this isn't it
I've decided to go ahead and try create that brushed skin that you people want and here is what I have so far http://dbznjapan.tripod.com/brushed.jpg copy and paste the address into your browser. The skin is based on an aqua skin that I am modifying but I don't know the original authors name right now.

do you want the whole thing a grey metal color or do you want me to stick with the blue?
I was thinking about making a trillian brushed metal skin myself too, but this looks very nice. If I were you I'd go for the full brushed-metal look, no blue whatsoever Keep it up, good work
I would stick with brushed look too, take ur time and hope u deliver something awesome. 
not sticking with the brush look was never the issue it was just I was wanting to know what color is prefered. I have now got the blue to grey and I was wanting to insert those word bubbles that ichat has but trillian is not capable of that -.- so instead I made the "send" look like a word bubble =). Also I changed that lil red dot at the top near the word "trillian" look like it is groved into it at the sides and the sphere look of it is the same. I'll post a pic of it maybe later tonight.(I need to finish some buttons and the chatting windows, before I'll show a pic of it)
lol I was counting how many image layers it was taking me to create the new brushed metal GUI for trillian and I counted 69 layers, but not all of them are turned on some of them are turned off becuase they were for like other stuff like the blue brushed metal

I had to log off immediately after that post last night, but so far I have finished pretty much all of the trillian GUI and now I just need to finish the chatting windows and a few other window things. I'll post a pic some time today.
judge ,I think Im not sure but the skins shuold work for both at least thats what I understood from some of the people at the trillian forums ,and Deceiver !I cant wait to see what U got so far! 
hehe....well...I've ran into a brick wall.....I tried asking for many different alternatives from an experienced skinner but there doesn't seem to be away around my problem. I was trying to create the brushed metal look the way it looks on ichat and quicktime and other programs that use it but I will not be able to make it fade from a dark brushed metal look into a lighter one in the middle then back to dark because trillian does not stretch images it only tiles it. I'll try and make or find a good brushed metal look that will look ok being tiled. The trillian GUI is fine but it is the message windows that do the tiling. and yes this skin does work for the plain-old-non-pro-trillian =)
I've tried finding some good brushed metal textures that skin but I can't find any good ones so could ya post those brushed metal textures in here, judge? =)
due to me having a ton of homework to finish and needing a good brushed metal tile texture I will have to wait til tomorrow before showing a screen pic of it & if everything goes as planned I will release it tomorrow.

well I got a brushed metal skin that tiles extremely well now so now I can finish this soon....I hope.
well I am close to finishing and the GUI for the trillian window is done and I just completed the message window GUI with a brushed metal skin that tiles good =). here's the preview pic I promised
after the skin is done it'll need a name.....silver metal or platinum?
