Problem with Styler

Hello,

I've got a problem with styler. I purchased version 1.35, before that I used StyleXP. I've installed it properly but everytime I try to run it, it crashes with this problem signature:

AppName: styler.exe AppVer: 1.3.5.0 ModName: msvcrt.dll

ModVer: 7.0.2600.0 Offset: 00033f4a

What can I do about that?

I don't know if you've tries this already, but I'd suggest UNinstalling Styler, making sure StyleXP is completely UNinstalled, rebooting and REinstalling Styler and see if that works at all. Good luck!

Btw... before you do all of that, put the default WinXP theme on.

The guys at styler really ought to be a little more helpful here. I've been using it for a while now ! (It rocks!), but, at the price there should be some support for probs like this. Yes...I paid for mine! hehe!

Couldn't live without it. It's a mac on a pc for cripes sake.

I tried uninstalling style xp and reinstalled styler but to no avail. I thought that there might be a problem with visual basic runtime files, the error signature mentions the msvcrt file so I reinstalled them too, again styler refuses to work. Any other suggestions?

I solved the problem by formatting c: and reinstalling windows, the system was slow anyway so it was ok. So now it works but now I got a new slight problem, the themes work but the shellstyles wont. I put them in the resources folder but they wont work with styler. I had no problems with them with StyleXP. What am I doing wrong?

Have you patched windows so you can run unsigned VS's?

I don't know, the only thing I've done was putting a patched uxtheme.dll into the system32 folder
