how come even though i have the OB font installed when i select any theme i get this really ugly skratchy looking font, is there a way i can get OB to reconize OB or any other font ?

Control Panel -> Display -> Appearance -> Effects -> Font Smoothing Drop Down Menu -> ClearType -> OK.
