Porting Widgets
If there was any simple way to port a widget, every single dashboard widget would be useable in windows. But, for the now, anyone who wants to port widgets will just have to learn XML and Javascript.
I don't really get you........The Widgets made and running on Tiger Dashboard, and what is all this XML and Javascript code going to do?
Hee... its a forum and communauty of Mac and Windows user here, and so.. he exist Konfabulator for Windows too, and you dont explain its widget from Dashboard to Konfab... but for Mac!!
Dashboard widgets wont run in konfabulator they use css ,html and js you must convert all of that to run with just xml and js some widgets cannot be ported yet due to this.If you still do not understand please take a look at the konfabulator forums there have been many of questions regarding this.

There isn't and never will be an application that will port widgets to a different platform simply because all widgets for widget applications are built in different ways.
Some might be made all in HTML and Java for one but another might be HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript.
