Ok so i dont want to have my start menu visible anymore so am using Avedesk to make icons on my desktop and hide the start bar.
Is there like a POWER OFF button icon..you know to shut down your computer...a shut down icon?..and in properties what do u have to do to tell it, that the command is to shut down?

i tried it everywhere didn't work..then i typed in target location the same as that but pointing to shutdown.exe in system32 folder but itdidnt work either...

i made a shortcut desklet and done it via that, no luck..
%windir%System32shutdown.exe
That has to be typed into the target field.
-s is a parameter so it will go into the Parameters field.

ok man that worked so thnx..BUT
when i press it, i get a message saying...ur computer is going to turn off in 30 seconds and it countdowns etc....isnt there a way for it just to shut down normally, like how i do when i press the shut down button on the start bar?...thnx

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but you can try these parameters:
%windir%System32shutdown.exe -s -f -t 00
-f: Forces running application(s) to close without warning
-t xx: Timeout for shutdown to xx seconds
