I have seen many people modded bounchs of Visual Styles which are very beautful. There is a Modifications & Hybrids in http://www.macthemesforums.net/. We can have them here for windows user.

i don't think that can be done for windows. Mac themers/modders usually do good work, regardless whether it's a theme or a mod of an existing theme, unlike Windows themers. I'm sure you have seen many crap releases every now and then floating around and that doesn't make the original author happy at all.
Well if it can be done for Windows it can be done here, thats for sure. And very conciderate of you to degrade Windows themers. I've seen your work and I like it but why the negativity? You really sound like an ass. Theres always going to be a few themers who aren't happy with mods but if it weren't for those mods your GUI might not looks as nice as it does.
Personally I think it's a good idea but thats just my opp.
oh really so i sounded like an ass then, that's harsh you know
:(
if you knew me you wouldn't say that ![]()
Probably but you really just came off that way. Maybe it was the way I read it but man, it sounded like you just put down an entire community.
So i'm putting down an entire community by telling the truth? come on man, admit it, i'm sure you have seen crappy ports too. I don't want this to be a flame war but have a look around, you will realise that i was right. Have a nice day. I'm sorry if i sounded like an ass, i didn't mean to.
Chill Satan's Child. duyvan is right and i agree with him.
Plus we would need permissions for ports and it`s much harder to get permission for a Windows port than for a Mac mod.
A sub-forum of Customizing Windows will not be a big deal cause that's topic related. If it dosen't works fine, then close it.
You will not get 100 percent agreement from mac authors for windows "mods". The whole concept is completely different. You can not a mod a windows theme the way that you can mod a mac theme. Most windows themes contain cut up elements with no transparency which are put together to look decent on one background color. In order to change a theme you have to open all those elements in photoshop and then place them into the theme of your choice which usually ends up with jagged pixelated results. On the mac all the elements are alpha blended which means you can mix and match easily and in addition Themepark makes it very easy to combine elements of a theme. Thats the whole reason the mods forum opened. Because of the ease of modding guiKits.

Then can someone release a mod theme without permission when the unmodded one has been ported to Windows?
in that case the porter wouldn't give permission...
We don't need another sub-forum, if someone gets permission for a mod, just post it where the other themes go. Too many forums makes the place feel empty ![]()
