Icon shadows... *a little bit confused*

...I'm currently working on some Icons for my new website (webdesign, hosting & content management) and I'm a little but unsure about the cast of the shadow. The Icons were done in Adobe Illustrator CS and the shadows should be added in Photoshop CS.

rotation x-angle: -18°

rotation y-angle: -26°

rotation z-angle: 8°

What do you think is the best/exact way, to add a "realistic" shadow in the right perspective in Photoshop?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there.

I'm not quite sure about your question, but did you mean to add reflection?

Looking at your image it seems like you're trying to add a reflection, not shadow?

If reflection's the thing you're looking for, then the image's vertical angle shouldn't be changed..

I"m not quite sure how to explain this, take a look at my pic

If shadow's the thing you're looking for, then it depends on the light source I guess :D

my 2 cents

oh, yeah - I meant how to add a reflection - not s shadow, it's not the same ;-)

I'm really stupid today, maybe I should sleep a few more hours, now - everything seems logical

thanks for your quick reply!

this looks better:
