help- remove menus in firefox

can someone teach me how do i remove all the menu(File,edit,view,go,bookmarks...) in firefox?

i tried compact menu and menux extension both didnt work.

im currently using firefox 1.0.6

did you drag the compact menu icon onto the toolbar?

through right click > customise ?
