Iplay

I don't mean to be ungrateful, but doesn't it look the same as QCD with the iTunes skin?

I know this is a completely new program / coding by Mr Aqua (of course it's great and good job!)

So what makes u guys use this instead of QCD with iTunes skin?

Again, I don't mean to be ungrateful :P

It uses less resources than QCD. It takes up less space on your HD than QCD and a skin. Also, as its trying to emulate a certain look, so yes.. of course its going to have the same appearance. The artistry in the program is the good coding job to make it an efficent and well coded piece of software.

Also (and this is important for me) iPlay gets shadowed by Y'z Shadow.

#28058

#28068

And, you can resize iPlay. As far as i know, you cant resize QCD with iTunes skin.

#28071

Mr. Aqua, are you planning to add "mac only" formats?" That would be cool! (JW, bc of the not adding win only formats cuz its supposed to be iTunes...)

#28078

bugs found when using WindowFX 2 there is a pixel outline around the application window.

In the radom mode we need the nice scroll effect that iTunes has.

While the equalizer pops up it doesn't do anything at least on my PC.

Good start (Y)

#28095

Again, you don't read previous posts... :( But, anyway...

As I said: This is only alpha preview it was ment only for testing purpose. BTW: QCD either has no smooth effect and nobody said a damn thing about it.

As far as Wfx2 is concerned, I have tried all types of shadows, and some made one and no border is seen. Check your WFX2 settings, it's not applications fault.

Read txt file included, there is explanation which features currently work. Equalizer is ment for next release.

Then don't be. ;)

For the correct shadow in WFX2, you have to click on "modify" under shadow options and then make sure that the "adjust shadow for shaped windows" is checked.

#28179

Nice Job! You should rename it MiTunes or MyTunes.

#28207

I also think it should be renamed. The use iTunes as the .exe is just going to far and is going to bring the wrath of Apple very quickly. I think MiTunes is a good choice. Its at least diferent enough to keep Apple away I think. Anyway I love the program. I doubt when Apple releases iTunes for Windowz its going to look this good. It no doubt will look just like Quicktime does. I can't wait for the EQ to work!

#28257

this is a great program :D

but why not to add WMA support?

i have some WMA files in my computer and i dont want to re-encode them to MP3 or to stay with the damn Windows Media Player :(

There is no comparison between that to QCD.

I dont know where to start with.

users have listed the stuff for you, but thats still not enough.

QCD is so limited god help me. This one has the real functionality and QCD is limited to a frozen horizontal scrollbar and dead play lists..Duckie has done a great job with this skin, infact the best so far, but this version of iPlay has already better BASIC features than QCD. its a matter of time how this thing will end up as holy as 'ROOTS' and 'SAVANNA'.

Not to mention his potential in every single app he is making anyway.

As mraqua said, please care to read before you post, thanks.

To all these who want the name changed, dont worry it'll be changed. Please read the next:

IN ADVANCE, PLEASE DO NOT KEEP ASKING IT, MR AQUA WILL CHANGE IT IN THE FUTURE RELEASES TO HIS OWN CHOICE WHICH IS SO FAR iPLAY.

Thank you. :baby:

You are correct that its a great program. I hope Mr. Aqua continues to add features that will make iPlay the best all around mp3 player. If you have WMA files for your music, use WMP for them. Mr. Aqua has taken his time to program this nice piece of software. Don't be lazy, and take some of your time and convert your files to MP3. Its not that difficult, and considering the program is free, it isnt asking much.

#28370

Thank you psikadelik, but I see now that lack of WMA support is big question, so:

WMA/OGG support will be added in next release.

#28384

Windows XP crashes when I start Iplay, hmm... :(

#28386

Mr.Aqua: iPlay rocks! It's great to see you develop a new media player for us...very impressive work. Right out of the gate you have some solid features (not to mention an excellent look). It will be interesting to see this develop into a full featured application over time. Please know that some of us do understand that other media players took months/ years to develop fully...and that for a first alpha, this is incredible.

On a side note: If for some reason development of the Aqua portion of this app becomes sidelined (Apple legal) I would love to see it develop soley as a media player in it's own right, Aqua look or not. Too often we have been robbed of Mr.Aquas vision by some small incident...I don't want that to happen here. Honestly, we could incorporate Mr.Aqua and start our own software company...

#28387

One little suggestion,

Mr.Aqua, it's not necessary to change the cursor when it's on the sliders. The current cusor on sliders makes it hard to locate the slider...

Thank u:)

#28393

Amazing work Mr.Aqua.

My congratulations!!! ;)

#28399

man this is amazing... i used qcd also (USED is the keyword ;)) and i normally need a plugin or two to make the stuff sound good, but this has nothing to configure and it already sounds just as good as qcd, if not better. not to mention it's just like itunes :D

#28568
