I can't connect to 6667 port because of fwall resrtictions (

I'm having a similar problem (well, kinda).

With Miranda, I set up the A-S IRC channel using port 6667, but when I try to Quick Connect or go Online, nothing happens. I reinstalled Miranda, but that did nothing. Any idea?

using mIRC doesn't suck. If you hate the interface, then try mIRC thru Trillian. I hope that helps.
