What a coincidence... I was just looking on DVforge at their awsome two button apple mouse (which looks better anyway) And I went to the apple website to find....

They had one too...

...weird.

They have had nipples in laptop pc's for years.

This is not a nipple.

Nipples works like crap on laptops. This is a scroll ball that gives you the versatility of trackball on a mouse.

Hi, i got this mouse for windows...not as amazing as they claimed.

few things:

1. the cord is too short. for those without a usb port from the keyboard or monitor, u have to move ur tower real close. or buy an extension.

2. The clicking sound thats suppose to come from a speaker inside? i can barely hear it

3. the side buttons are really hard to use.

4. no software for windows...yet.

other than that..its a real pretty mouse :)

got mine today, it looks nice next to my apple keyboard ;)

is apple gonna release windows drivers for this thing so we can use all of its features?

Not impressed at all, you do have to lift you left finger completely off the left side of the mouse to do a right click.

The side buttons are hard to press, (only button the speaker actually does something on).

The trackball is nice, but if you do not scroll fast it won't reconize it, also when you put your finger on it, the ball kinda sinks down, kinda bad cause you will be rubbing on the surface of the mouse.

Thats about it, did have to install the drivers on the mac to get the right click to work.

How long is the cord? I bought mine but rather to plug it in to my iBook directly...it looks like I should buy some USB hub and connect it to that to make it somewhat longer...

Speaker also makes the click-click-click noise for the scrollball. I have no problems with the side buttons, I can push the right-side one easily with my ring finger.

On medium scroll-speed settings it's possible to scroll by one pixel at a time.

One thing I found kinda annoying when I first got it - the hinge squeaked. Literally. Even with it unplugged, there was a squeak. Went away after a while though.

How long is the cord?

About two feet.
