My experience has been; it depends on who authored the script. Most come with directions on how to install. The other problem I've run into is the compatibility of the server to run PHP scripts, some only run CGI instead. As for the question being in the wrong forum; I think it's in the right space it just should be labeled as a [Help] thread.
