you really dont need his permission, as he didnt come up with that little gradient/bevel/dropshadow/stroke idea, that has been around for quite awhile, the text is just regular white text with a stroke :

Something looks strange in text icons, looks like it would have been better with a 45 degress angle.

@ultraman: You're absolutely right, at first I thought there's something wrong with my eyes.

When I tried to rotate the text, the alignment of the letters seems a bit off. Perhaps it's my font?

Here's some experiment, 30, 45 degrees. I wanted to use 45 but it seems to me that they're harder to read @@?

Which one do you guys prefer? If the 45 seems better, I'll update it ASAP
