iTunes Album Art 1.3 Released

I updated iTunes Album Art to version 1.3 and added a few new features. You can download the new build here.

New Features Include:

  • Delete the album art from the current song.
  • Update all the songs on the album of the current track.
  • Update your entire library.

These features were all requested by users of iTunes Album Art. I avoided the "shotgun" approach to updating your entire library as it can take some time depending on the size of your library. I added a progress bar to let you know how long things were going to take. I also updated some code so non-MSN messenger users should have less problems. Also, the initial preference should be to NOT update your MSN Messenger picture.

Some side notes. If anyone has excellent icon creation skills and wants to donate a custom icon for the app I will add your name to the "about" section and give you mad props. Any other developers out there that want to shed light on handling events from WinAmp (because it is C++ based and not C# based) in C# I'd love to listen.

I'm sorry if this is clear, but can this app work independent of iTunes?

Is there a way to ensure the return of album art of a minimum resolution quality?

last time i ve tried itunes album art (not this build), it has screwed up some of my tags, and added some wrong album artworks to many albums.. is this one more.. STABLE?

No this one is less stable - I thought it would be fun to continually release less stable builds ;) - J/K!

I never screw with the tags but do add album art if none is present. And it comes from Amazon.com so 9 times out of 10 it is the correct or decent art. It is not perfect and never will be as I mainly coded this for myself and have been releasing/adding features as they are requested. This build has some cool new features IMHO though.... Sorry if you have had any bad experiences with the app.
