Full Thunderbird to Light versions?

Hi all,

I have several full Thunderbird themes that I would like to strip down to light versions. Does anyone know of the easiest way to accomplish this? By light versions, I am refering to having the theme use the scroll bars, radio buttons etc. of the current visual style as opposed to the one's packaged in the .jar file.

i'm not sure how exactly you do it in thunderbird, but i know in firefox you can enter a certain code in userchrome.css to make it use the VS' style instead of the skin. that would be the easiest way i guess. unfortunately i don't know what that code is. maybe you'll have more luck at the mozillazine.org forums
