Aqua-Soft ForumsThe Mozilla Foundation has updated both its Firefox browser and Thunderbird e-mail client once again to fix flaws in its previous update.
The company had launched version 1.05 eight days ago but a new flaw seemed to have popped up. According to the companies website "Firefox 1.0.6 is a stability update. We recommend that users upgrade to this latest version. The new version has Restored API compatibility for extensions and web applications that did not work in Firefox 1.0.5." Versions 1.0.6 of both Firefox and Thunderbird have been patched.
Versions 1.0.5 of both applications caused problems with a number of extensions and as a result localized languages were not released. This was a problem for localized language developers as well as concern amongst users who wanted the security fixes in 1.0.5.
The Thunderbird update includes security and stability fixes. The email client includes a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) reader so that users can subscribe to various news feeds directly from their e-mail program.
