[Help] Uninstall Window Blinds

Hey, i am trying to uninstall window blinds with no luck.

I did the obvious thing and removed it from Add / Remove programs on the control panel, but when i re-booted the PC i am still able to run Window blinds from right clicking, properties, appearance, then there is a Window blinds button above effects.

If i got to Start, All Programs there is a folder called Object Desktop, with the a Uninstall Window Blinds short cut but when i click on that a missing shortcut pops up saying:

Windows is searching for Unwise.exe do you want to search for it yourself.

I have tried searching on google for a resolution but have had no luck.

Edit: Sorry mods i have just realised that there is a Stardock sub-forum, with a window blinds section and this is in the wrong place.

Well i donno wat to sujest ...try intstaling RegCleaner and then try removing all registered components by windows blinds it may solve your problem.

i think that something is screwed up during ur uninstall.

1)If you want perfect, Reinstall WindowBlinds, Then uninstall it again through the link in start menu. Reboot.

2) Otherwise delete the windowblinds dir, Remove the statmenu entries, Clean registry via regcleaner, uncheck the startup entry (thro msconfig) .

first one is very easy and leaves u clean

heh, i had a problem after uninstalling via add/remove programs.

something happened, and my computers start menu went to Classic mode.

so whatever visual style (i download 4.5 enhanced =/) i used, it wud still use classic mode, but skin that. so it wud look ugly. heh.

so i just did a system restore lol

It is a very familiar problem to me when uninstalling WB.

I'm surprised stardock still hasn't fixed this issue.

I've been having it every 4.x version.

Googled the golden tip from the following Techspot forum. Been using it eversince.

In the future save yourself the chore of re-instaling and all:

Go to the directory of windowblinds and locate INSTALL.LOG , and UNWISE.EXE (or unwise32.exe) somewhere in it. For ease, copy the install.log file to root C:INSTALL.LOG

Make a shortcut of UNWISE.EXE and add onto the target start parameters

"C:Program FilesStardockObject DesktopWindowBlinds/UNWISE.EXE" c:install.log

That's all. Works with any other non-uninstalling apps too btw.
