It isn't a scam.

It is his theme and he can do what he wants with it.

Just because you need to donate (which isn't a problem relly) doesn't mean it is a scam...it means you are too cheap to donate to this community.

OK, i`m going to bed and i don`t want this to turn into a flamewar while i`m sleeping.

Final point is, Tim made it, it's his (well deserved) right to request a small donation for it (and i don`t mean 99 cents some of you have been "donating" ) :-I
