thats freaking awsome, to thing, it displays the shortcuts on the keyboard for what ever program your selected on. What a great idea.

yes they developed it for another company, but they don't want to say for whom. maybe for apple's next imac?
That's really cool, I want one! ![]()
That looks AMAZING! It's a shame it probably won't sell for less than $100 (that's just an estimate, my opinion).
Thanks for the info,

It appears to be just a prototype.
My guess is it will cost around $400 to $500.
That would fall in line with the other overpriced hardware designed for use with Apple products.
Pretty sweet lookin' keyboard. Be nice if it will be hackable/user programable. Do I see a World of Warcarft layout coming? On the other hand it may be just vaporware. Love the idea though.
very usefull and very beautiful. but a few comments.
one, it might be a huge hassle to configure it. you know, making 64x64 size icons and do all that customizing for it.
second, it might consume a lot of power. it might draw from 5 times as much energy as a keyboard, or more accuratly 1/10 the power of a monitor.
it also concerns me the size and weight of this thing. sure it's beautiful and useful, but what happens when you have to move it around? does it feel like lifting a shotput ball or a heavy discus?
will you be able to afford it?
this reminds me of that technology of using lazer to create a virtual keyboard on any surface. sure it's cool, but it's freaking expensive, not productive, and just good for showing off.
otherwize, it's very very very very promising!!!
oh yea. also, shoulden't this be in the general hardware section? after all, it is related to hardwares ![]()
Even if this was a cure for cancer i still wouldn`t give a ****.
That sticky isn`t there so you wouldn`t forget to buy milk on your way home.
GD topics stay GD, General Hardware belongs in General Hardware.
If anyone wants to continue this discussion, feel free to do so in proper sub-forum.
