Hi all, I've searched google, aqua-soft.org & osx-e.com all day now and the only solution I've found to adding a visualization on the desktop of the currently playing audio is using samurize combined with by using a visualization plugin with iTunes. This means you need to have iTunes open. on top. and in visualization mode for the thing to work (Minimize, browse songs etc and the visualization on the desktop stops). Also, as you might know samurize isn't exactly streamlined...
I tried to find avetunes skins with visualization. But sofar no luck.
Is there a avetunes/sysstats desklet that renders something like the visualization winamp use in this shot:
?
IMO it shoudn't be hard to do. And using a plugin working with a mediaplayer seems odd when you can simply check the output sound of windows...
I wanted this feature when I stumbled past this screen: http://www.samurize.com/modules/myalbum/photos/2412.jpg
Very minimalistic and the defult windows theme is horrible. But the audio portion of the samurize setup is simply awsome. Though I do preffer bars over only peak value lines. I think winamp and the other supported mediaplayers for that samurize script can use the thing when minimized etc. But obviusly iTunes cant.
If you know how to do this using avedesk please tell me. Also please link me if you know something other than avetunes that you know works well.
Thanks in advance.
