Dock Animations

Not certain if this will catch on, but I've had many (MANY) people ask about what icons I'm using in my dock. So I thought "Why not show everyone?"

Dock.jpg

Dock.avi - 3.10Mb/ DivX 5.0.2 Codec Required

Now I suggest everyone that wants to do the same use CamStudio; it's a freeware image capture app that records motions on screen. I've used this for tutorials and it works great.

I suggest that once you have it installed, only capture a region of the screen, and use the DivX 5.0.2 Codec...it keeps files tiny.

Ok, you need to have DivX Codec 5.0.2 installed. I would use another codec, but everything else encodes like garbage or throws up a huge file size (30Mb->80Mb!!!).

This file will work in WM8, WMP9, QT6, WA3.0 & The Playa.

IE6 users should be able to watch the video imbedded in their browsers, some Phoenix users will have to download the file to watch (I'm still working on this...)

Enjoy!

I love that SWEET Amèlie "Slowview Browser". Where did you get it? Maybe it is self made?

I found that at an obscure French icon site I was at last week. I just got around to converting the .sit files I grabbed this morning! I'll see if I can find the website again...

Have fun !!

Not a problem!

Now - is anyone else going to make their own dock movie? I'd like to see what some of you guys have running, maybe even a genie effect or two? ;)

Mmm, really cool app. I have recorded mine for 30 secs, but I have no hosting space (it's about 500 Kb). Altough it is a very standard dock... how did you manage to reach 3,10 Mg DZ?

BTW: it is encoded with the latest DivX codecs (5.04)

I kicked my quality settings up some to reduce pixellation and artifacts in the movie.

i have tried recorded my dock animation, but it slows down my dock when recording. so I decided not to. the smoothness and fluidness of my dock is the only beauty it has (Y)

Like to see the AxonZ icons in use! Those are some great icon sets that get overlooked...
