[Help] Multi-monitor dock help

I recently made the switch from ObjectDock to the-dock-which-shant-be-named. For legality's sake, let's assume I'm using RKLauncher. I realize that mutli-monitor support exists, but not in the sense that I'm looking for. Is it possible to have a dock at the bottom-center of each monitor? (Essentially, I want another 'RKLauncher' in the same place as the first one, but on another monitor).

Is this possible, and thanks in advance for your help.

I tried to get this thread in the right spot, and this is as close as I could come to finding the right spot. Forgive me if it's not where it should be.

With objectdock you can setup a diff dock on each monitor but each one is a unique dock. They aren't clones of the main one or anything. Thats how I have it. I have 2 17" and one 20" monitors (1280x1024 / 1600x1200 / 1280x1024 respectively) and usually have one per monitor for various items. Main shortcuts on the main monitor and less used ones on the others.

p.s. - hey where do you find yourself getting multi-monitor wallpapers from? :)

Not sure about the dock but about what meat said ... it seems multi-mon wallpapers are really hard to come by. I wish more people made them.

Currently I just have 2 high-quality renders of cars (a Viper and BWM M-Series) that I found on DeviantArt. They're not really all too hard to come by... maybe 3-monitors, yes. DeviantArt has an entire section dedicated to multi-monitor wallpapers.

That's what I had in mind, is two independent docks. The only problem is that I can't seem to get one to be exclusively on the second monitor (and centered).

can't you just create two separate folder structures for the "dock that cannot be named" and rename the executable in the 2nd folder? Then run the first one, set it up the way you like it...then run the second one and put it on the second monitor? According to the settings dialog, that dock is multi-monitor aware. Then put shortcuts to both instances in your Windows/Strartup folder

mandolux makes many, many multi-monitor walls

Putting two separate docks on each monitor sounds kinda cool to me... hmm... gotta try it.

I use the-dock-that-shant-be-named, and it has margin setting so I had just set in middle on my first monitor.. but this idea sounds good too...

as far multi-monitor WP goes, I usualy take good high res images of WPs I liked and try and photoshop them to best looking result to fit my res. Since most of these WPs are actually made my someone else, I can't release them, but trust me I've a real good collections these self-modified Multi-Monitor WPs.. :D

If you just use the dock for links and not extensions maybe you could use Avedesk. I use Avedesk with .png icons on the bottom of my screens as a dock. Just a suggestion. :)

That's what I tried. The problem is getting the monitor to actually go on the second monitor, and stay centered. If anyone has done this, config files would be appreciated (PM me).

@igo -

That actually does sound cool. I'll stick with attempting one-on-each for now.

A big part of the dock's appeal to me is that I can have lots of little bitty icons that get bigger when I need them, and only when I need them.

@blankfaze -

OMG.

Maybe I can try to get UltraMon to move the dock to the second screen... hmm.
