[help] Windows Taskbar

so, i need some help.

for some reason windows won't skin my taskbar and by that i mean that everything will be skined except for the taskbar.

hm.. i remember that happening wheni had stylexp, and used a visual style. like, the taskbar wud become a Windows Classic theme.

this may not help, but:

right click anywhere on desktop, properties > appearance.

make sure it is something other than window classic.

then i remember it not working, and i went into the themes folder in windows ( i forgot the directory, sorry ) and i like took out the "current" theme. it seemed to have worked. but i still switched to windowblinds and it never had a prob.

this is easy to fix.

do a search for uxtheme.dll (make sure you're not hiding system files/folders) and delete ALL instances of uxtheme.dll NOT in c:windowssystem32. the files are conflicting, so you need to delete them.

you can also check the uxtheme version and re-patch in safe mode, but deleting all uxtheme.dll not in system32 should fix it.
