im getting messages that my site doesn't look that great on all browsers...someone says that it doesn't work on opera very well and i check IE and i get problems with the look of the site in that....im using wordpress
....also i am having trouble keeping the width of the page the same on the categories page (this problem is less important) - anyone got any ideas?

Half the images don't load, but other than that it renders OK in Safari 2.0

Well, because you are calling the images where they are not...
You are calling the images in jag.needlement/images while most of them, are being called by the CSS file in http://www.jag.needlemen.com/wp-content/th...quasoft/images/ - Where they really are...

i modified a skin for wordpress and err kinda didn't clean up after myself....now i have to sort out where the problems are
The images wont load because in your HTML you are calling to images that dont exist... Thats where your problems are :slant:
if possible could you give me a list of these images that do not exist...if you don't want to don't grill me for it....this is my first site....i started it up like tweo weeks ago

Except the index page , in other pages, the content portion expands , while titlebar like thingy doesnt..
Check the outer #wrapper or #container has correct width. 
Ok, even if its your first site - Look at your HTML code and find the calls for images you have ( i mean, finding them has no science) and make sure they are pointing where they should (i pasted the folder where your images really are - i cant believe i'd know and you wouldn't)
um seph by html code do you mean whats in my style.css file? (just double checking)

The site comes up fine in Opera 8 & Firefox 1. BUT in IE some pictures don't show up.

also can i ask one thing?....how do i find out the images that aren't showing up?....also i just want to check...do i change the images featured in the site by editing the css file?
As i told you already - You look for the images in the wordpress code that displays the actual page (The code that displays the articles, the templates) and check if every image is loading.
And as i told you too - You dont change the images in the CSS you change them in the template that displays the site...
In your code, you have this, for example...
[*] in your index page - you have no navsep2.gif in "jag.needlemen.com/images" - it will obviously not display.
If you dont know where an image is displayed and cannot differentiate between a css file and the placeholder file, you need to do some reading before you have an actual website :slant:
lol ok well i'll bear that stuff in mind and i'll change the things that need changing....should be working ok by the end of the week...thanks guys
well ive got it working and looking ok in internet explorer and Mozilla Firefox....how does it look on opera and safari?....
edit: um i just found out from someone that it works on safari fine now after i did some fiddling around with it which is cool....thanks for your help guys if a mod wants to they can sloe this thread
