google.com you should beable to find all kinds of information
You could give your gmail address an MSN passport... and you would then be able to use MSN messenger with your Gmail but the only thing would be that you wouldnt be able to open your inbox from the messenger...
Otherwise... i think its a good idea to get a messenger... then MSN would go out of the competition most likely... The messenger is the only thing in its way...

Yes they do.
I`m smoking pot with the G-spot instant orgazam team from Google and they told me Gmessanger is in development. They are going to send yo a beta for being a smart boy and figuring it out.
Sheesh!
On a side issue, I wonder if Google would ever try their hand at an OS...
Just thinking about that....opens new possibilities and a new boundary...
Never thought of that...
Nice thought ![]()
Maybe not... Google Instant Messaging has been rumoured for a while. http://www.webpronews.com/news/ebusinessne...antMessage.html
And 'Hello' is by Google/Picasa which although is optimized for sending photos, also allows chat. http://www.hello.com/
Google does have its own operating system. It's used to link their computers (they use lots of cheap desktops instead of actual servers for some of their stuff).
Google google google. If they come out with an instant messenger that doesn't use already made protocols like MSN it will be the laughing stock of the net. If it is multi protocol than cool.
Google has come out with a lot - don't be surprised to see a Google browser, google file browsing app and GoogleTunes. ![]()

Why would it be the laughing stock of the net?
I just love when people start making assumptions :slant:
1. Google won't make their own OS, they use Linux, and seem to support Linux
2. Google won't make their own browser, they financially support Firefox
3. If Google makes an Instant Messenger, of course it'll use their own protocol, or else it'd be completely useless.
4. Google is about search, not listening to music, or file browsing. Every product they put out has to do with search, Gmail's big feature is not its huge storage space, it is the fact that it uses Google search technology to be able to find any email you want, out of thousands. The world doesnt need another music player, and there is ZERO demand for a file browser, what can it do that Explorer cant already, IT DISPLAYS FILES, THATS ALL.
