[help] Is my AV my Flyakite is infected?

I read a while ago that someone with AVG had reported that Flyakite was infected with a trojan which was pretty much dismissed by all but I'm bringing this up because it is slightly different.

Something has been trying to connect to the internet but I haven't worked out what so I've been doing some scans -

AntiVir reported that the file C:WINDOWSFlyakiteOSXToolspskill.exe is infected and carries the SPR/PsKill.A signature.

Avast antivirus, Ewido antitrojan, Spybot and Adaware reported nothing.

I don't believe for one minute Flyakite is shipped with any kind of malware but I'm just trying to work out if the pskill.exe file is a legit Flyakite file, whether it's been taken over by a or it's been planted there somehow or whether anyone else has had reports about this file or whether it's simply likely to be a mistake on AntiVir's part?

pskill.exe is an application to kill tasks to lets flyakite remplace the systems files with no problems.

So it's not dangerous for your computer.

:o here no probelems at all.... don't believe that Flyakite is infected :P

You're fine. pskill.exe is part of the package and the installer connects to the interent to look for updates.

"Real" AV tools can tell this is not a virus.

Please, write thread titles in english, will you? - saying "sez" instead of "says" does not make you any cooler, ok?

Also, there is an avedesk subforum - take a wild guess what it is for.

Why is a thread about Flyakite OSX in an AveDesk sub-forum?

BAD SEPH!

@ Seph

"Is my AV my Flyakite is infected?"

The new title makes no sense at all, I wasn't trying to be cool, I'd just spent about 2 hours on MSN Messenger and on that I spell words the way I pronounce them when talking, the title was just a simple mistake.

@ Unbeliever

I'm pretty certain I posted this in the Customizing Windows section. If you look at Seph's post above yours it looks like he may have moved it to the AveDesk forum. [EDIT] Oops - just noticed the bad Seph comment, sorry.

Thanks to the other replies, my mind is at rest now and since only AntiVir picked it up I reckon it is just a false positive or something.
