I just wondering if anyone knew of a developer's kit that adds visual buttons and such in a C++ application. I am running on a budget and would like to have a visual replacement. Tryed Qt but I don't have visual C++ or borland. I don't really want to have two evaluation demos running. I did try visual C++ but couldn't find the actual studio. Could someone give me a link to a real free visual program or just a tutorial on how to do it?

Just get yourself a C (or C++) compiler, download the platform SDK for free and you can play around with all the WINAPI's?
i never really figured out a way to "do it the hard way" THere's no tutorials online that I can find. I don't have amazing skills with C++ but have done about the equivalent of 2 semesters of college on it from just books at the library. I would really like a tutorial on doing this. THat's actually what I wanted really.
well if you're willing to pay for shipping you can get the ms visual studio 2005 beta 2 for just shipping charges at http://getthebetas.com. i think it includes some info on how to use vc++ in there.
you can get the VS2005 beta for FREE ...just download it from labs.msdn.microsoft.com
there are no limitations on the compiles iether.
Cool... But you can go open source with the GCC compiler. You don't have to be a nexpert to use either...
go get Dev-C++ from http://www.bloodhed.net/dev and get the latest!
it comes with GCC 3.4.2 and GCC 4.0 for it should be in the next beta.
Visial Studio 2005 Express Edition is free (its intended for students and hobbyists, so on release it will either stay free or have a very low price)
