[help] Advisable to do installation of RAM on iMac G5 myself?

I'm totally capable of performing the installation. Through a google search it seems as though I just need to remove a screw or two to open the case.

Would it be advisable to do this myself? Is there anything else I should know?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I figured it's mroe of a general question than a hardware question.

And HOW is General Discussion better than Hardware or Apple sub-forum for help with RAM?
