Hey everyone,
This week in lieu of some certain circumstances, I must back up all of my data onto CD's/DVD's and I was wondering how you can burn .DMG files onto a CD using a windows machine. Both my macs lack a CD-RW drive and I need to get these burnt so that they are bootable, readable, etc, not just like buring it to a cd as storage.

sounds like someone is really trying to burn a downloaded copy of tiger or panther for either his mac or pearpc.. in either case it can't be done.. there are utilities dmg2iso - and in some cases uncompressed dmg s can be renamed to iso and burnt, but they will never be bootable.
You can't burn a .DMG on a Windows PC.
You can, convert your .DMG to a normal .ISO file on your Mac. It will actualy have a .CDR extension, but it's really an .ISO file.. rename the extension.
Then you can burn the .ISO on your Windows PC and if the original file was bootable, this one will be as well.

Sounds like somebody is jumping to conclusions. It's not what im doing

well actually dmg2iso doesn't work right with the compiled exe but if you download activeperl at activestate.com/Products/Download/Download.plex?id=ActivePerl and get the dmg2iso.pl file. it runs like a standard app as in you can run it by typing into the cmd.exe prompt
dmg2iso.pl [nameofdmg] [nameofiso]
and it worked great for me when i used it.
u can install the latest isobuster, it can open DMG files and u can extract them and burn 
oh nice! i tried the other methods and they'd keep giving me burn errors. I ruined 3 discs! lol
