Thematic Chroma

I'm using the Chroma software to skin my os but cannot find a forum anywhere on line for help! Hoping a designer here might be familiar with the software and able to offer some assistance???

I love the software but some of the color schemes are terrible to look at. I would like to know if there is anyway to force a different color scheme with a skin. When I use a particular skin (for instance the chrome looking one) I go to my display properties and change the colors to suit me. Great...works like a charm. Then I restart my computer and it's gone and the skin will default back to the original color scheme. Does anyone know how I can force my color scheme to over ride the default for a particular theme? Any help at all would be so appreciate - even a link to a forum where I might could get even more assist...anything at all!

Thanks!!!

This, I'm assuming. It seems somewhat antiquated...why are you still using it? Are you on an older computer?

It's a software to skin your os http://www.thematic.com/chroma/index.html Kind of like Windowblinds? I think that's what it's called...

Exactly - a very old computer on Win98 SE and use XP at work, have gotten spoiled and prefer the modern/updated/sleeker look and feel of XP. Not worth it or probably even able to upgrade to the XP so for now, this is the program I've been using.

Umm

there is no way to get the "XP look and feel" cause of a lot of differences between XP & 98.

98 can`t do half of the things XP can in terms of GUI (transparency, shading and such)

With the Chroma software and the ObjectBar software, yep...it sure can look and "feel" like xp - I have it on my 98SE and would be happy to send you some screenshots if you like, lol I also use the IE toolbar and have skinned it in a a very sleek and cool silver wallpaper so it also has a rounded look to it. It's amazing what you can do with image creating software and a little imagination! I love my 98SE MORE than my XP now in terms of looks....functionality? Same difference to me - I dig em both. Let me know if you'd like to see some screen shots....using the silver xp bar w/ menu, and icons, etc....
