New Hosting Company Launched

I spelt all day yesterday working on a very simple design presentation wise for my new webhost and I would just like an opinion on how I did.

Once again it's at http://creativelive.org/

Thanks :)

(Note: I am not trying to advertise my hosting, just want an honest opinion on the design.)

Here are my 2 cents:

1. The contrast of the text is too low, it is not easy to read for everyone.

2. The logo is too much towards the top of the page, makes the design look careless, you are wasting around 10 pixels under the logo

3. The logo is not the most original ive seen, its a strange mix of a lot of blending options in photoshop and a typographic logo - both at the same time are not the best bet.

4. There are, in fact, 2 different logos; makes the site look amateurish and thus, not trustworthy of my money (if i was to purchase a plan)

Contentwise:

1. I would like to know if i was a latent buyer, what kind of servers will my site be hosted on. What QoS do you offer, what administration package you use, etcetera.

I second all the things that Seph said, plus, in my opinion some of the border lines look a bit awkward, different thicknesses etc.

second header's text shadow is really UGLY

the design is a bit bland. imo the borders are overdone. the logos look like you did it from a tutorial, and it's just some text with colors and italic/bold which could just be done with text and text-shadow.

the "creativelive" would look best with no italics. the ((L) symbol could be placed before it with the same height so it looks flowing instead of the awkward placement.

hosting sites IMO are usually very flashy and this doesn't remind me of hosting website

your hosting offert sounds reasonable btw.. when you plan to launch it ?

Damn but that site made my eyes water trying to read it. You need a lot more contrast in there. Also, a little less abuse of the text-shadow property would be good.
