Logo / Letterhead Design.

My dad has this small export quality inspections coordination company and he thought having a logo for a letter head would be nice. It's not a big business so I'm don't think hiring a decent designer and copyrighting a design is really in the budget. So...he asked me to do it. lol.

Now when it comes to the "arts" I'm primarily a photographer. I frequently use photoshop but not ever for much design. Mainly modifying and retouching photos.

I wanted to share my first rough draft. I know it's very basic and crude but I needed a start. He suggested that I try incorporating a magnifying glass focusing on the globe. The name of the company is Global Surveillance.

I would really appreciate your input and suggestions. I'll include the psd file if anyone feels like modifying it for a more visual suggestion.

Both look good, but I'd recommend adding a white border where the magnifying glass touches the letters - makes it easier to read and IMO much more spiffy-looking.

Those look great. I suggest you use the one without the address.

And instead of adding a white border, just make it so where the white border would have overlapped the words, just delete it. Either that, or reposition the letters so that they are not touching.
