[Help]Sticking Vertical Calendar permanently on desktop

How can I make the VerticalCalendar docklet impervious to the all-powerful "Show Desktop" button? I'd like to clear my desktop, take a peak at the date, then restore all my windows--but, the docklet also minimizes. Is there a way to stick it permanently?

Did you try the "Always on bottom" option?

I think the "Desktop Icon" format will do the trick.

By default the Vertical Calendar (as well as other SysStats configs) is set to "Normal Window".
