Hello people, i searched the topics on the board but i can't find an answer.
I can't display any font for avedesk labels under my desklets.
I mean i try to use true type fonts but they make labels disappear, only one works, i tried maybe 100 different fonts...
Please can anybody suggest me a solution?
Believe me it's about 10 days i'm searching around the net for infos on it.

What font's are you trying to use? - that would help more
i cant use lucidamacbold with avedesk
i cant use alot of true type fonts with avedesk. i downloaded alot online for this purpose, but cannot use any of them. i think that should be another fix on the next release.
what about the 'Arial' font? does that work or not?

Hello AndreasV, thanks a lot for the quick reply, i tried the "arial" font(open type) and it works fine.
But any other font i downloaded ( for instance this one: http://www.dafont.com/en/search.php?nq=1&q=marcelle ) makes my desklets blank.
Anyway i get the chance to thank you for your great great job on this thing, it's really something you can be proud of.

Fonts seems to work okay here. Looks like there are some small problems with hinting and calculating the fontsize, but other than that, displays okay:
Weird stuff. Did you reload avedesk after adding fonts? Maybe try to do an update of GDI+? (search the MS site).
i had my labels on the side. after looking at andreasV's screenshot .. .i moved it to the bottom, seems to work fine. did you try that?

I've also noticed that some fonts don't render properly when the label is set to "Right". I can't remember which ones, but they were TrueType fonts if my memory serves me at all.
Maybe try to do an update of GDI+? (search the MS site).
Hello again AndreasV, sorry to ask this, but i searched the microsoft site for the gdi+ and i only found things for developers, i don't know how to use that.
Maybe you can suggest me what i need to do to update the gdi+?
