Any Good Objectbar To Simulate Mac Taskbar?

Greetings,

I'll be grateful if someone could hint me the good/right ObjectBar for simulating the Mac taskbar on Windows XP. Currently, I'm using "MacPinty OS X v1.0" OB for taskbar (with Iceman's VS theme and ObjectDock) on my machine (somehow, I just bump some problems that made the taskbar from Iceman's theme looks a little bit cripple).

Thanks in advance!

You mean the finder menu. The Mac OS doesn't use any kind of a taskbar. In Mac OS X taskbar dutties are handled by the Dock. For that you can download one of three diferent Dock emulating programs; MobyDock, Y'sDock or ObjectDock. Each has merit and difering features. You will have to try each to see witch you like best.

Hi Impulseman36:

Thanks for your reply. Somehow, I just didn't know the exactly name for describing the white-stripe "taskbar-like" (could be the "Finder" bar you tipped) on the top of Mac OS-X desktop.

ObjectDock could not be used for this purpose (though OD does simulate the bottom "system dock" (or whatever the correct name it should be in Mac OS-X term).

I do have OD running on my Windows XP but just cannot find a good "Finder" bar simulator (ObjectBar seems the right tool to go but I just could not find the right theme/skin to emualte Mac OS-X "Finder" bar behavior).

I'll look into other two apps that you mentioned here.

Thanks again,

David

Hi fireball - I just download and install the WinMac (including the SP3), however, I must have done something wrong cause the Mac toolbar (WinMac) will be covered by windows (when doing the maximum) while ObjectBar will prohibit maximum sized windows to cover the toolbar. Also, it seems to me that many "system tray icons" are absent from WinMac. I even fail to get the "application manual" working :(

Hi Siddharth - I did try two OB themes you mentioned. The Finder (I think) shows very small fonts on the screen (also, wrong links on the items) and the other one just cannot scale the application manual to cover enough applications (it only displays one-page application items for your selection and cannot perform scroll up at all).

No matter how, than you two a lot!
