A friend send me some "Pictures of the year" by e-mail in .dat file format. Windows would not open those files and need help??
To be more precise the file is ATT9.dat,
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks Velimir

Its an outlook e-mail file, you need WMDecode, get it here:
Edit - Well, OK.
I'll keep my text though.
I would be weary of this being a virus. You can open it in notepad, I don't know if you could tell anything about it though. If it is a virus, it won't activate from notepad (unless there is a trick that I don't know of). I checked http://www.sarc.com and google and found nothing. Email you friend back asking about it. Questions never hurt. Would he be somebody to give you a virus as a prank? I am not accusing him, it could have been sent from his account without his knowledge.
that was my second thought wizard :-)
