This is a pretty good article about a unix apple was experimenting with while Steve Jobs was at NeXT.

Wow, I didn't know that. cool. There was/is Linux/BSD for the 68k Macs as well, non official I mean.

Check out NetBSD for a complelty modern 68k "Unix".

I just saw that at Osnews about this.. looks interesting for 68k macs!

Someone with broadband try this out (I dont want to waste 2 days if I dont know if its going to work):

Download the 68k NetBSD, and see if it runs in BasilliskII. That would be so cool (in my geeky mind).

ah hell... here is 3.01 full and the 3.1 updater

No BSD will run on Basilisk II, Basilisk II won't emulate PMMU. So emulation even for 68K is incomplete.

Basilisk II does not recognise disk image partitions either
