Nothing seems free over there at the web site that u pointed the download to, and that was such a shame, casue I was downloading 3 of those clear widgets, but then that DesktopX 3 was not free as you stated.

He is referring to the Trial version which is free. You will get a nag window at start-up which can be hidden. Go to Stardock.net and look for it there under the DesktopX section.
Samurize, Rainlendar or Avedesk are free with no snags, there is no hidden snag windows or any BS: when it come to installs there are no trial version, and further more these aps are the best., (clocks, calendars, and other cool widgets)
Well DesktopX is shareware. Like Konfabulator is. Perhaps you should go over to the Konfabulator forum and start complaining that everything isn't free there too.
