i'll give you the PSD. the only thing i dislike about konfab is that it doesn't support true centered text and my text also marquees if it's too big to fit in the box (shown in glosstunes/graphite)...but it can look ok. what's yer email addie?

I don't know if AveDesk will marquee the text, but it will do a break and the text will go onto another line, which is practially just as good.

It can marquee. It can be bounded to a rectangle. It can be aligned.

By bounding the rectangle to one line and setting align to center you've probably got the effect you want.

Should the play button turn into a pause button once the music starts playing? I didn't see a puase button included in that PSD, but I'll just whip one up if you want that to happen.

Yeah, that's what I did. I got all the images done, just need to implement them with AveTunes and whatnot. Don't know when I'll be done. Do you want to save it and release it later on or should I just post it whenever I finish?

By the way, do you only want it to display the song name?

Another problem I'm having: AveTunes works with Play/Pause in one button. The pause image is in the background while the play image is on a higher layer and it disappears when iTunes is playing a song. But, with this skin, the play button doesn't cover up the entire pause button. Any way I could get around this?

Instead of the play button having a transparent background give it the background of the bezel skin then it would cover the pause button.

Yeah, I was going to get to that. One problem, though: to make it show both the artist and song, you have to use the InfoPane setting (AndreasV told me) and I don't know how to change the color/face of that font. So, I PMed AndreasV about it, I'll see what he has to say.

Anyways, about that pause/play button, I think you should probably make a play button with a circle around it or something like that to cover up the pause button in the background. The only way I could do it without extra images is by making the play butotn really large, then it just looks awkward.

are you sure there's no "replace" or "show one hide the other"? or even one where if you cilck it it's position is moved to far off it's off the screen?

Not that I know of. The pause button is set on the background in every AveTunes skin I've ever seen.
