avedesk 1.2 always crashes on restart

i have avedesk 1.2 set to run on startup but it always crashes, my script gets cut to half (vertical calendar only shows half of the dates) and the context menus turn all black

does anyone know whats wrong?

Tell us a bit more about what is going on, what desklets do you have running, system info and such.

i have two deskets running, textdate and vertical calendar.

im running on:

amd athlon 2500+

abit nf7-s

512ddr ram

ati 9600 all-in-wonder 128mb

also have konfabulator running, and only have one widget for that which is widescapeweather.

this is how my desktop looks after i've had avedesk setup the way i want:

the problem is that whenever i restart my computer, the vertical calendar desklet gets cut like so:

the part highlighted in red is what happens when i reboot my computer

the part highlighted in yellow is what happens when i restart avedesk

the part highllighted in blue is what happens when i restart it for the thrid time

those parts just disappear from the script.

the context menus when i right click on the avedesk icon in the system tray and when i right click on the desklet itself turns black and the text for the buttons are gone like so:

but of course with the desklet missing half of the dates, the textdate desklet also stops working but the script does not change.

i hope this is descriptive enough for some idea of whats wrong with mysetup/avedesk.

i had the same problem and judge told me that i should turn off the 'automatic save when closing'... 'coz he said that sometimes avedesk doesn't shut down properly... dunno if that will work but give it a try...
