Hey, i'm not here to hire you, but just to let you know that you have got to sell yourself more if you want to get paid. Say what you've done, what you can do, and what you are best at. Be more specific about the services you can offer, giving an idea of what certain things will cost, and if your selling web design, having your own website is a good idea. Otherwise people just arent going to hire you.

Well, I havent had any professional experience and I have no coding talent but I think im pretty good with
graphics, and I can design some really nice user interface mockups as well as websites. As for the cost,
when I said I wouldnt charge verry much I mean as in anything u will pay me is good enough almost

The web design market is saturated, there are so many talented designers out there (with coding experience!), I'd first make a portfolio of any other *past work* you've done, then perhaps do a bit of pro bono work to just get your name out there and so that you have referances, THEN think about charging (thats if you're even good enough).
You must be trying to save for that triple core 4ghz operaton super computer lol, time to save those zlotis
oh and btw, I am a css designer, looking for work! (ROFL, this is a joke, dont take it seriously, I can hardly code)

When i posted, i was telling you how to advertise yourself, regardless of experience, just trying to indicate what the right and wrong things to say are. By the sounds of things though you do need to work on your skills a bit. Get some practical experience just making websites for yourself, challenge yourself so you have to learn new code, and then use that experience to eventually earn something.
look at some free hosting to get your practice and there are some great tutorials sites out there on the net to get you started with coding, in cold fusion, asp, php. I do believe that to call your self a web designer, you can start with html and then progress to a serverside programming and learn access (data base) for dynamic content.
do a google search for info on free hosting (there are lots of out their).
when I fist started out, I grabed a student discount on macromedia dreamweaver 2, then found a free image editor and the rest was an adventrue run. click on my banner to see my site that is often updated but rarely inproved. too busy with classes and other clients 's projects

No offense, but that's what this thread is coming across as. First, you would sign up for some Tae-Kwon-Do/judo/kung fu classes before trying to hire yourself out.
You need the skills and experience if you want to rise above the countless other people who are also offering.

What you have showed me looks really good , hope you can get more experience so people will hire faster
I can't offer you any work i'm afraid but I will help you in a couple of other ways.
Firstly, it doesn't look good advertising and promoting your services on free webspace, and I would be happy to provide you with some of that.
I'll also assist you in how best to compile some of your work into a portfolio that will appeal to your target audience.
On top of that I can give you a few pointers on how to turn your designs into a (basic) working site.

I'd say a good thing to do then, would be to carve yourself some time and start to learn how. Just learning a bit of HTML would be an excellent start.
so - yeah... as said... the web is full of tutorials, i learned all of my web design/development skills by myself on the net: try... w3schools.org , alistapart.com
It is also a very good idea to push your work pro bono, this is what i did.
I pitched my abilities at Mercedes Benz colombia and told them i wanted to do it for free, as a learning experience. Obviously, they gave me the job (i was 16) after that, i could start charging pretty much as much as i wanted, after all - i did the mercedes-benz website
Well I don't mind going through the basics of slicing an image and setting it out with Hobbes so that he gets the grasp of the very basics.
Offering to do sites for free is a good idea as you can build a portfolio which will make you more attractive to potential clients. Big companies (even local companies) and charaties will be happy to let you do them a site for free.

slice images >_< - exporting slices as html through image ready is not really web design. Id suggest you learn the basics of content/desing separated site building. Might as well learn to code efficient sites while you are at it.
Keywords to look for, css, xhtml (or html) and web standards. That will get you places.
Yeah Hobbes, I'm sort of in the same boat as you with the whole aesthetics vs. coding thing. I've come to realize though that designers are a dime a dozen nowadays and jobs that are entirely visually based are either a fight for skill or aren't in the website field at all. Most people that hire designers to do websites expect them to make it work for them too. I personally have sat down and sort of tried to figure out how to code stuff but it really doesn't come that easily to me as it does to most others.
Here's my example, I'm not trying to use this as a spamming thing. My site:

I've put that up as a semi-useful way of portraying some of the work that I've done in a completely non-professional stature. I've even created a physical portfolio full of printed out works of art, recommendations, as well as a CD with a single webpage portraying other stuff that I've done and the folks that give the job interviews seem to love it.
So I'm hoping someone around here can help you out so I myself can read about it and possibly help myself.
You have my support, I'm in the same boat. haha
The world is already bursting at the seams with professional designers with many years of experience strugling to find big jobs.... my advice would be to go into something else.
