[Discussion] Best tweaking software....?

We have countless discussions on the best theming software, but no aqua customiser is complete without some form of tweaking utility. Most of us use a series of these programs and this causes lots of conflicts.

SO what do you believe to be single most useful peice of software for removing every single little itch,scratch and bite such as;

* Hiding desktop items (eg- recycle bin)

* Hiding shortcut arrows

* Changing normal icons (and adding easy 'change icon' command to context right click menu)

* changing pesky icons (eg-system icons)

* Hiding explorer items

* Modding start menu

* Animation tweaks

* Logon tweaks

* Hardware tweaks

* Anything and everything else...

I have used 'tweak xp', 'new admin', 'madonote', 'tweak ui' and a coc'tail of these programs with windows xp options...

The idea of this discussion is make a verdict on the best super utility, that incorporates the most amount of useful features without being overly buggy.

i like to get all this stuff over with right after install, therefore i use autopatcher and flyakite osx. those two contain most of the tweaks i need, and together with microsoft's tweakui meet all my tweakin' needs

personally, i don't like apps that try to do too much. i always do my tweaks manually. my favorite tool is reshacker.

These programs sound good...and yes flyakite is moving up on my list as the best....the one to try...

Reshacker is good also, and i currently use it, but what i meant is a program that requires no hacking, where all options and tweaks are brought together in one convenient GUI control base.

But this is a DISCUSSION!

Microsoft's Tweak UI is one of my most favorite programs from microsoft. should have been included in the windows instalation.

X-Setup, definitely. It has a lot of plugins available and can be used for any Windows version (you can just turn the plugins that don't suit your current win ver off so the don't even show in the list). Also it's able to tweak another local users' regisrty, and that is very handy sometimes (if I'm not mistaken it's even able to load another computer's registry, but I didn't try it out). Or how about "record mode"? - just tweak what you want and X-Setup will 'record' your actions in the .reg file which can be used next time you'll reinstall Windows or on another computer to save your time.
