[help] iBook g3 700mhz Sleep/Trackpad issue

Hey,

As stated above my ibook G3 is having issues with the trackpad being unresponsive or stuck when the laptop awakens from sleep. The only remedy is to wait it out (it can last up to 15 minutes) or restart the machine.

Is there a fix for this?

I have a iBook 500MHz G3, I would see if its a hardware issue, to do this, remove the keyboard as if you were installing an AirPort card, then if you have a AirPort card take it out, then un screw the two scres, don't loose them. Once you take the plate out, you will see ram if you have any more the 128MB installed, now next to the ram will be the one strip of many colorful wires, that goes to the monitor, the link one that should be black or white goes oviously to the keyboard but the small one thats about 5MM or 1CM is for the trackpad make sure everything is looking good and then follow these instructions backwards again. I build my ibook from parts on ebay, and I know the machine from in and out. If you need any more help go to http://www.pbfixit.com, they have free downloadable or viewable PDF guides how almost everything, from ram, to hinges. Kepp it apple.
