Aqua-Soft ForumsI just joined this forum, because I needed help on something that I thought was very relevant and not "useless" as the forum member named Unbeliever said. In response to your arrogant reply Unbeliver, yes I did search for an hour on the subject of what I was asking for and I had no luck finding it, so don't go off closing threads if you didn't even attempt to help. This is what forums are for. I was not trying to be lame or offending anyone. Locking the thread I started was pointless and selfish of you. So thanks for making my first experience with this forum an unpleasant one.

Just so you know. Unbe is the forum moderator. And it's really like that here.
So what if he is the moderator.. does that mean he can be on a power trip because he can? He's not being a good moderator in that case. The junior member named c_l_d_j at least gave me an answer and knew what I was talking about.. so thank you c_l_d_j. And if this is how this whole forum is, then that's sad.. I'm out.

This'll get closed but really it's because you're not supposed to fight with a mod in public... it's in those rules they keep talking about.
and ironically, Unbe's sig is too big. Isn't that against the rules?

I'll even be specific for you:
Read the rules.
Tag threads.
Search.
Specifically in this case, search for 'YzToolbar', but even 'Toolbar icon' would've worked.
Now stop complaining. Please.
If you have a problem, battle it out via the Private Message system, making an entire thread will only get this closed or worse you could be banned. Unbe is a fair man, it takes a bit of iron fist to run this forum, otherwise you'd get 2000 "where can I find yzdock backgrounds?" threads everyday.
Regardless of what he says or does, he has been here a long time, and has put a lot of love and effort into this community, he supercedes you and I--both as a senior member and as a mod. His reputation is that of a "néwbîe killer" but please don't take that seriously, this is a forum after all not realife™. I suggest you apologize for defacing Unbe publically.
Also, if you took the time to get to know him, he is actually very kind and considerate, not to mention the funniest (only) Serbian guy who happens to speak Japanese and appreciate Seka music videos (isn't that right Olek?)

Give me a link to your original thread and ill see if what unbe did was right or wrong and let you know; mind you, however, as per the rules - moderator's decisions are final...

I will disregard the fact that you broke another rule by publicly arguing about staff decision and point you to some of the mistakes that you made.
By the way, this is the thread he's talking about.
First, Aqua-Soft has been around for more years than you probably know and during that time, you can bet we managed to do basic stuff like skinning explorer buttons.
Second, if you think I over-reacted when I said your thread title was stupid, could please explain me what does "changing windows" has to do with changing explorer buttons?
Third, I do not buy your story that you searched for an hour and found nothing. It took me two words – “finder buttons”, to find this. And among those results I found more than enough threads that answer your question.
Fourth, locking or moderating that thread was not selfish of me. This is the first time someone called me selfish for taking my own free time and will to do something for all members of AS. I once thought that being a mod/news poster was easy, but it was not until I became one, I found out how much energy and will power it takes to do this. I am not here to make YOUR first experience here pleasant or unpleasant, I’m here so all members of AS can have a clean, easy to navigate forum.
Fifth, you broke the cardinal rule by arguing with staff decision in public and for that, you should be sanctioned according to rules. However, if Seph did not suspend you by now, I do not see why I should doubt his judgment. Just don’t let this happen again. And let me remind you again of the rules. You can find them HERE.
4.10. Action: Disputing decisions made by Admins or moderators publicly.Result: Threads are closed and/or removed.

all signatures must be less than 450 pixels wide, and less than 100 pixels high, including all text and images.
So next time check the rules before making claims.

Altough it's almost like cleared out... I would like to point out few things to Primus114, as a regular member of this community. I've been hear for a year or so, and there is nothing in here which I cannot find using search function... Unless I'm really lame, lazy or plain stupid not to use proper words to search what I'm looking for.
I have noticed this in many forums and for that matter even my friends behaving this way in forums... they put one or two things in search, which are not proper keywords and when they don't find anything in first 2 mins they start shooting off threads asking dumb questions. So please.. for you own sake, when you search something make sure you are putting proper keywords.
Another thing is, this very thread. If you have problem with any member, mod, admin or anyone in this community... why not PM that very person and solve the issue one on one? Why make all this ruckus in public? Sometimes to solve few things all it takes is communication, in your case.. proper communication. This, is a good example of outrage, for that matter a pretty invalid one.
So next time, when you experience any action by Mod/Admin or anything by any member.. take a time to think properly, why it happened.. in every point of view before you go on screaming in public that someone just slapped me.
