[Req] PHP/Website Download Manager

Just wodnering if anybody knew of any good download managers for websites. Unfortunantley Invision don't make one, othewise I would be usiing that.

I want the kind of downloads page like on OSX-E, and stylesuites or whatever it's called.

Also, if anybody knows of a good links page/plain content page, that would be great...

olate download olate.com

I have had a look at that, it seems okay, but I don't know if it's the right kind of thing for my website...

Better skin support, maybe?

Don't use olate, its sucks. Better use a complete cms that have a built-in download manager in it. I use subdreamer for my site, but its not free. To find a good opensource cms, please visit here http://www.opensourcecms.com/

textpattern has a built in file management system

Alang, Olate is at the top of my list at the moment, but the one you use... well, it's a bit too basic.

Also, please know that price isn't a big issue here, do't just tell me about free ones :P

BTW, I also like the look of RW:: Download... Anybody know more about this?

@ Wuzzie - just wait till u use it, its high on my list too, but after I use it, I realise that its not too user friendly... Mine is basic because its not just a Download Manager, but a CMS, a content management system for the whole site for me to manage the news, articles, links and to integrate it the vbulletin forum. But to be frank, I'm not quite happy with it because I do not have a total control on the site layout. Previous CMS virtuanews that I use is better.

BTW, good luck for you on finding a good scripts, I spend a few day only to find out none that I really like and I might end up ask someone to make a customize script for me

I could easily edit the PHP crap to link all the parts (Mambo, Invision Forums, Invision Gallery, rw download, etc) together.

I think I will stick with rw download.

Thanks for the advice, guys!

One other thing, does anybody know of a cheap australian domain registering website? I found some fore about 20aud, which is very good (yearly this is)

.org I am looking for.

Well that's just great.

The lite version (free) of RW Download, isn't anywhere near as good, but the link is broken.

If anybody know of a mirror or a good alternitive that would be awsome.

Thanks

Wuzzie

Have you heard of Planet Source Code? They have tons of user submitted scripts that others can use for free or to learn from. While browsing, I saw quite a few download managers in their PHP section. They may have something that suits your needs. I haven't used any to recommend, sorry.

Wuzzie, go to namecheap.com for a cheap domain. I bought mine over there.
